Blockchain Innovation in European Union

European Blockchain Association

Several European countries have signed a pact on a European Blockchain Association. As a result, this will be a pact which would serve as a vehicle between these states to exchange experiences; and also to prepare for the launch of Blockchain applications on a larger scale.

Hence, Europe continues to play a leading role in the development of this new technology on a global scale.

Consequently,Blockchain simplifies transaction platforms; catalysing new digital markets that will create new business.

Infrachain

Given the potential that this technology can develop, Europe has responded with a large number of initiatives created to support the development of this technology. An example of this could be Infrachain.

Infrachain is a government organisation that aims to introduce governance mechanisms that facilitate the development, implementation and adoption of blockchain applications for various sectors. These sectors include banking, fintech and financial services.

Furthermore, it has its origines as a non-profit organisation supported by the Luxembourg government. Due to this, they aim to create an on-top governance framwork which allows Blockchain applications to become operational in the current regulatory environment.

It is a more than interesting project. It simplifies the access to information and this new technology, despite being a non-profit organization, which is an aspect to be taken into account. Information is power.
