3 Ways to Rule Internet Marketing

When it comes to internet marketing, there are hundreds of proposals. I will share only those that came in handy and were helpful to proven professionals. Most of them have a free demo period, and some are completely free.

In this material, I collected a list of online services that will help you to plan your internet marketing campaigns, avoid hiring specialists, and reduce the budget for advertising.

I will tell about three main ways to advertise, and then give examples of services for each of them. All these promotion methods are available both to small businesses and big businesses and are quick to be launched.

 When you look for something on Google or other search engines, the results appear to be listed in a page. The first and last four places on the page search engines are those that sell.  So first, you need to understand what search requests – keywords – enter potential customers. Then among them, you select those that are not demanded by your competitors. Therefore, the click will not be expensive.

With this service, you can roughly estimate the activity of a competitor. You can understand how he promotes his site and what audience he has. Specifically, you will find out:

·  Where people come to the site from – from search, mail services, social networks;

·  Which sites refer to your competitor. You can discover where he places advertising, paid and free;

·  What key inquiries in paid advertising of the competitor bring the maximum effects;

·  What other sites visit the audience of a competitor and what interests.

It’s necessary to understand that the data of any service is not the exact information, but the result of robots-analysts. Therefore, consider the given results as a way to build hypotheses that then need to be later tested.


For what: to find synonyms of keywords.

Price: free.

In WordStat you can find synonyms of already collected keywords and similar requests that your audience is looking for. They are displayed in the right column of the site.

You can check through this service the keywords that you select in the first step and take from the right column synonyms that you haven’t guessed themselves. Usually, 5-10 more synonyms are added to the list for an advertising campaign.

 2. Set up advertising on social networks 

Another option to find customers is to place banners or company posts marked “advertising” in social networks. Such advertising will be shown in the news feed. In this case, you can pay per click or for the number of impressions. The price depends on the audience: the more companies want to show advertising to this audience, the more expensive the advertisement is.

It is better for your internet marketing to make many ads to different audiences and see which one brings more subscribers.

The principle of launching advertising in social networks is the same as with contextual advertising: you select people who are interested in your product or service. This is done with the help of filters. Inside the advertising rooms of social networks, you can choose the city, sex, age, user interests.

If you don’t expect your business to sell anything immediately after watching the ads, offer users to subscribe to your group or public.


For what: to ascertain which positions of competitors are popular in social networks.

Canva is a service where you can make posters, presentations, and other visual products by templates. In the paid version you can create a corporate style and use tens of templates, but for social networks, it’s enough of a free account.

It’s easy to use: choose any template, double-click on the inscription, and write what you need. There are options for Instagram posts, YouTube screensavers, and Facebook backgrounds.

 Google Trends 

For what: to decide what to write about in social networks.

Price: free.

Social networks are arranged so that you do not necessarily see the post of the community, even if you subscribe to it. What your clients will read is the outcome of algorithms – on Facebook and Instagram it has been working for several years.

So, it is not enough to subscribe to once users on their pages. You need them to see your posts. To do this, social networks should notice people’s interest in the records.

The easiest way is to involve subscribers into discussions, write about what people want to discuss. The louder the discussion, the more users – including friends of your subscribers – have a chance to appear on the feed.

Google Trends helps you to select hot topics: the “Popular” section collects the queries you’ve most frequently looked up on Google in the last 24 hours. You need to react and write a post quickly, because today’s hot topic may become unnecessary for anyone tomorrow.


For what: to place a post on several social networks.

Price: up to 100 posts per month – for free. If you need more posts – from $ 6 per month.

Usually business has pages in several social networks, which place the same posts. If you do it manually, the process looks like this: go to Instagram, write text, add a picture, set the exit time, upload to deferred. Repeat the same thing on Facebook and somewhere else. 

 3. Sell to those who are interested

When the decision to buy is not made at once, it makes sense to “push” potential buyers to the deal. For example, you can tell them about promotions and discounts. Stay in touch with those who have already become your customer. They can write an article that will tell about their experience with your business, emphasize your expertise, or just remind about you at the right time.

To do this, use different mechanics: lead groups in social networks for those who signed up after the ad, or do mailings to those who came from contextual advertising to the site and left contacts.


For what: to communicate with clients on the page.
