SECURITYMADEIN.LU is the main online source for cyber security in Luxembourg. Its goal is to provide news, relevant information and a toolbox with useful cyber security solutions for private users,
organisations and the ICT community.
SECURITYMADEIN.LU is an initiative of „security made in Lëtzebuerg“ (SMILE) g.i.e. which launched in February 2015 and centralises, on an online portal that displays news and other valuable material from its three
fields of activity:
– Computer Incident Response Center Luxembourg.
– Cyberworld Awareness.
– Security Enhancement Services.
SECURITYMADEIN.LU builds on the integration of pre-existing services, infrastructures, platforms, experience and competence of partners, and thus represents a central place for information security awareness-raising, information, support and problem solving material.
„security made in Lëtzebuerg“ (SMILE) g.i.e.’s public service (including CIRCL, CASES and the newly created C3), its partner initiatives and other activities are henceforth promoted under the name SECURITYMADEIN.LU.

The financing details and mission statement of „security made in Lëtzebuerg“ g.i.e. is governed by a 5-year agreement, signed between the g.i.e. and its supervisory ministry, the Ministry of the Economy.
SMILE g.i.e. also initiates new markets with high added value in collaboration with main players from the national information security sector with the aim of delivering high-quality services which are accessible to municipalities, SMEs and companies of every size, by developing new solutions and competent services for the Luxembourg economy.
The state of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, is represented by three ministries (Ministry of Family, Integration and the Greater Region, Ministry of Education, Childhood and Youth, Ministry of the Economy). The local government federations SIGI (Syndicat Intercommunal de Gestion Informatique) and SYVICOL (Syndicat des Villes et Communes du Luxembourg) fund and manage SMILE g.i.e. and all its activities within the partnership. The management board is composed of representatives from all stake-holding members.
