World Materials Summit 2017 to take place in Luxembourg
After US, China, France and Portugal, two-day summit is about to take place in Luxembourg where entrepreneurs, decision makers and renowned scientists from all over the world come to exchange ideas, particularly on the importance for the Grand Duchy.
Although the event has brought leading international materials experts together for nearly ten years, it is little known to the public at large. The International Union of Materials Research Societies (IUMRS) has organised previous editions of the event in the US, China, France and Portugal.
The materials sector covers everything from renewable energy to deep space supply, along with researching new development methods to ensure a circular economy in attempts to avoid pollution and waste. The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) oversees the event.
